United Technologies, American Express and Du Pont Among Top Gainers at DJIA

Dow Jones Industrial Average slightly gained by 0.05 percent or 6.51 points to close at 12,890.46 in yesterday’s session. Standard & Poor’s 500 index advanced 0.15 percent or 1.99 points to 1,351.95 while NASDAQ Composite surged 0.39 percent or 11.37 points to 2,927.23 points for the day.

United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX) was the top performer among Dow Jones components and surged 2.50 percent to close at $83.78 in yesterday’s session. The traded volume stood at 8.90 million shares as compared to its average traded volume of 4.63 million shares per day. The share price is trading at a price to earnings of 15.23 times while its dividend yield stands at 2.29 percent.

American Express Company (NYSE:AXP) advanced 1.30 percent to close at $52.31 in yesterday’s session. The traded volume stood at 7.25 million shares as compared to its average traded volume figure of 6.35 million shares per day. The share price is trading at a price to earnings of 12.79 times while its dividend yield stands at 1.38 percent.

E I Du Pont De Nemours And Co (NYSE:DD) gained 0.79 percent to close at $52.06 in yesterday’s session. The traded volume stood at 3.76 million shares as compared to its average traded volume figure of 6.22 million shares per day. The share price is trading at a price to earnings of 14.15 times while its dividend yield stands at 3.15 percent.
