Reports Of Intel And AMD

Intel is expected to announce first-quarter results on Tuesday, April 17. Analysts expect that the company will post earnings of 50 cents per share on income of $12.84 billion. For the last year, the company notified profit of 56 cents per share on income of $12.85 billion.

Intel’s strengths lie in the corporate sector where its server chip sales might be about 15% annually over the next many years. Server processor requirement is due to several major tendencies, including data traffic created by latest computing devices for example tablets and smartphones, expansion of customer computing in up-and-coming markets, computerization of businesses, cloud computing and continuous growth of the Internet.

AMD is expected to announce results on Thursday, April 19. Analysts expect that the company will post profit of 9 cents per share on income of $1.56 billion. For the last year, the company notified profit of 8 cents per share on income of $1.61 billion.

The upside is expected to originate from continuous growth in servers as well as additional share gains in entry-level notebooks. The company is expected to perform better under new Chief Executive Rory Read. Company’s growth potential and the level of enthusiasm are the most encouraging points.
