US stock markets slightly gained on Wednesday as investors traded with mixed sentiments at NYSE. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.03 percent or 4.16 points to close at 12,107.74 points. Standard & Poor’s 500 index advanced 0.19 percent or 2.42 points to 1,243.72 while NASDAQ Composite closed at 2,577.97 for the day. The top decliners of the day are as follows:
International Business Machines Corp (NYSE:IBM) fell 3.08 percent to close at $181.47 in yesterday’s session. The traded volume stood at 9.28 million shares as compared to its average volume figure of 5.87 million shares per day. The share price trades near its oversold level as per its relative strength index of 42.44 times. The share price is trading at a price to earnings of 14.36 times.
Cisco Systems, Inc (NASDAQ:CSCO) dropped 2.66 percent to close at $17.92 with traded volume of 57.65 million shares. Cisco on average trades with volume figure of 55.42 million shares. The share price is trading at relative strength index of 46.69 which shows that it has considerable margin for upward movement. However, price to earnings of 15.58 make it a bit overvalued.
Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) declined 1.81 percent to close at $25.44 in yesterday’s session. The traded volume stood at 19.70 million shares as compared to its average traded volume figure of 23.16 million shares per day. The stock moved 4.28 percent below its 50-days simple moving average after yesterday’s fall. Price to earnings of 7.78 times shows the Hewlett Packard’s highly attractive level.
