Volatile activity was seen at Wall Street on Tuesday as the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 0.01 percent or 1.67 points to settle at 12,502.81. Standard & Poor’s 500 index gained 0.05 percent or 0.64 points to 1,316.63 while NASDAQ Composite index declined 0.29 percent or 8.13 points to settle at 2,839.08 for the day. The top performers at Dow Jones index are as follows:
JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM) surged 4.61 percent in yesterday’s session to close at $34.01 with traded volume of 84.70 million shares. On average JPMorgan trades with volume figure of 42.27 million shares per day. The company maintains strong fundamental position with EPS of $4.05 per share which has increased by 13.05 percent in the current year.
Bank of America Corporation (BAC) gained 2.20 percent to close at $6.98. Its traded volume stood at 221.28 million shares as compared to average volume figure of 243.78 million shares per day.
Home Depot Inc (HD) advanced 1.37 percent to close at $48.26 with traded volume of 15.02 million shares for the day. The share price moved to 18.21 times of its earnings per share which stands at $2.65. However the company’s EPS has increased by 22.85 percent in the current year depicting substantial increase in profitability.
