Dow Jones Top Performers: Hewlett Packard, Walt Disney and Chevron Corporation

Bullish sentiments dominated US stock markets on Tuesday as the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 1.33 percentor 146.83 points to close at 11,190.69 while Standard & Poor’s 500 index advanced 1.07 percent or 12.43 points to close at 1,175.38. In Europe, London’s FTSE 100 index jumped 4.02 percent while EURO STOXX 50 gained 5.31 percent. France’s CAC-40 surged 5.74 percent while Germany’s DAX climbed 5.29 percent for the day.

Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ) jumped 3.87 percent to close at $23.59 with traded volume of 39.52 million shares. The share price maintains the average traded volume of 27.36 million shares per day. Despite yesterday’s surge the share price was still 17.41 percent below its 50 days simple moving average.

The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) surged 2.84 percent to close at $31.16 in yesterday’s session. The traded volume stood at 15.72 million shares as comapred to its average traded volume of 15.32 million shares per day.

Chevron Corporation (NYSE:CVX) gained 2.24 percent to close at $93.54 with traded volume of 11.07 million shares for the day. The share price maintians the average traded volume of 10.61 million shares per day.
