Dow Jones Gainers in Focus: Exxon Mobil, JPMorgan & The Travelers Companies

Bears dominated Wall Street on Monday as the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.78 percent or 102.09 points to settle at 12,927.17. Standard & Poor’s 500 index slipped 0.84 percent or 11.59 points to 1,366.94 while NASDAQ Composite declined 1 percent or 30 points to close at 2,970.45 for the day. These three stocks closed up despite strong negative sentiments at Wall Street.

Exxon Mobil Corporation (XOM) gained 0.46% to close at $85.69. The traded volume stood at 15.20M shares as compared to its average traded volume of 15.55M shares per day.  The company has floated 4.70B billion shares in the stock market out of its total outstanding common stock of 4.71B billion shares. In company’s outstanding commons stock structure, insiders hold 0.11% of outstanding shares while institutions have the ownership of 0.11% of company’s common stock.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) advanced 0.30% to close at $42.85 in yesterday trading session. The traded volume stood at 25.54M shares as compared to its average traded volume of 36.42M shares per day. The stock price moved 9.53 times to its earnings per share in the last trading session. The share price is trading at dividend yield of 2.80 percent.

The Travelers Companies, Inc. (TRV) gained 0.25% to close at $62.91 in its last trading session. The traded volume stood at 4.16M shares as compared to its average traded volume of 3.30M shares per day. The stock price moved 18.20 times to its earnings per share in the last trading session. The share price is trading at dividend yield of 2.92 percent.
