The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.18 percent or 23.33 points to close at 12,734.63. Standard & Poor’s 500 index declined 0.57 percent or 7.62 points to settle at 1,318.43 while NASDAQ Composite slipped 0.46 percent or 13.03 points to settle at 2,805.28 points. Following stocks gained despite negative Dow Jones.
Caterpillar Inc (NYSE:CAT) was the top performer at DJIA components and soared 2.07 percent to close at $111.31 in yesterday’s session. The traded volume stood at 18.51 million stocks as compared to its average volume figure of 7.97 million stocks per day.
3M Company (NYSE:MMM) surged .1.27 percent to close at $87.58 with traded volume of 4.89 million stocks. The stock price on average trades with volume figure of 4.07 million stocks per day. The stock price is trading at its extreme overbought level as per its relative strength index of 73.02.
Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) gained 0.74 percent to close at $65.07 in yesterday’s session. Traded volume stood at 12.52 million stocks as compared to its average volume figure of $10.74 million stocks per day. The stock price is trading at a price to earnings of 16.02 times while its dividend yield stands at 3.47 percent.
