DJIA Gainers in Focus: American Express, United Technologies and Bank of America

Investors remained mixed on Wall Street on Tuesday as the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.16 percent or 20.81 points to close at 12,632.91. Standard and Poor’s 500 index slipped 0.05 percent or 0.60 to 1,312.41 while NASDAQ Composite slightly gained 0.07 percent or 1.90 to 2,813.84 for the day. Major gainers at DJIA are as under:

American Express Company (NYSE:AXP) surged 2.08 percent to close at $50.14 in yesterday’s session. The traded volume stood at 6.78 million shares as compared to its average traded volume figure of 6.43 million shares per day. The share price is trading at a price to earnings of 12.26 times while its dividend yields stands at 1.44 percent.

United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX) gained 0.95 percent to close at $78.35 in yesterday’s session. Its traded volume stood at 5.92 million shares as compared to its average volume figure of 4.46 million shares per day. The share price is trading near its overbought level as per its relative strength index of 61.64.

Bank of America Corp (NYSE:BAC) advanced 0.85 percent in yesterday’s session to close at $7.13 with traded volume of 211.23 million shares. Bank of American is also trading near its overbought level as per its relative strength index of 65.13 and moved 19.99 percent above its 50-days simple moving average.
