Investors were optimistic on the Wall Street on Monday as the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.05 percent or 6.51 to settle at 13.239.13 for the day. Standard & Poor’s 500 index advanced 0.40 percent or 5.58 points to close at 1,409.75 while NASDAQ Composite settled at 3,078.32 for the day. These stocks fell despite positive closing of Dow Jones.
Bank of America Corp (BAC) plunged in yesterday’s session to close at 49.53 with traded volume of 666.96 million shares. The stock’s movement was backed by strong volume as its average volume figure stands at 293.12 million shares. The share price was still trading 24.49 percent above its 50-days simple moving average and is also trading at its overbought level as per its relative strength index of 72.48.
Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) declined 1.23 percent to close at $32.20 in yesterday’s session. The traded volume stood at 44.78 million shares as compared to its average traded volume of 53.05 million shares per day. Currently the stock price is trading at a price to earnings of 11.67 times while its dividend yield stands at 2.48 percent.
United Technologies Corporation (UTX) fell 1.01 percent to close at $84.62 in yesterday’s session. The traded volume stood at 4.61 million shares while its average volume figure stands at 4.61 million shares per day. Currently the stock price is trading at a price to earnings of 15.39 times while its dividend yield stands at 2.27 percent.
