DJIA Bulls: Exxon Mobil, Merck and Procter & Gamble

Investors were upbeat on Wall Street on Monday as the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.29 percent or 37.69 to close at 12,959.71 for the day. Standard & Poor’s 500 index advanced 0.02 percent or 0.22 to 1,371.09 while the NASDAQ Composite index closed at 2,983.66 for the day.

Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) surged 1.48 percent to close at $85.55 in yesterday’s session. The traded volume stood at 19.01 million shares as compared to its average traded volume figure of 16.14 million shares per day. Currently the share price is trading a price to earnings of 10.16 times while its dividend yield stands at 2.20 percent.

Merck & Co., Inc (NYSE:MRK) gained 1.33 percent to close at $38.10 in yesterday’s session. The traded volume stood at 10.87 million shares as compared to its average traded volume of 14.99 million shares per day. The share price is trading at price to earnings of 18.77 times while its dividend yield stands at 4.41 percent.

The Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE:PG) advanced 1.17 percent to close at $67.71 in yesterday’s session. The traded volume stood at 8.82 million shares while on average the share price trades with volume figure of 11.37 million shares per day. Currently the stock price is trading at a price to earnings of 19.91 times while its dividend yield stands at 3.10 percent.
