Bank of America, JPMorgan and Alcoa takes Dow Jones Below 100 Points

US stock markets remained under pressure on Monday as the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.84 percent or 100.13 points to close at 11,766.26. Standard & Poor’s 500 index declined 1.17 percent or 14.31 points to close at 1,205.35 while NASDAQ Composite plunged 1.26 percent or 32.19 points to close at 2,523.14 points for the day. The top falls of the day at Dow Jones are as follows:

Bank of America Corp (NYSE:BAC) plunged 4.04 percent to close at $4.99 with traded volume of 343.60 million stocks for the day. The stock price moved 17.187 percent below its 50-day simple moving average after yesterday’s fall. The stock price is also trading at its oversold level as per its relative strength index of 35.41 and has considerable margin for capital gains.

JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE:JPM) declined 3.73 percent to close at $30.70 in yesterday’s session. The traded volume stood at 47.22 million stocks as compared to its average traded volume figure of 46.66 million stocks per day. The stock price moved 5.13 percent below its 50-days simple moving average after yesterday’s fall. The stock price is trading at relative strength index of 45.24 which shows that it has considerable margin for upward movement.

Alcoa Inc (NYSE:AA) fell 3.18 percent in yesterday’s session to settle at $8.53. Its traded volume stood at 25.71 million stocks as compared to average volume of 35.76 million stocks per day. The stock price moved 14.50 percent below its 50-days simple moving average yesterday. The stock is also trading near its oversold level as per RSI of 34.74 times.
