Alcoa, Caterpillar and DuPont Performs at DJIA

Investors were optimistic on Wall Street on Thursday as the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up by 0.55 percent or 70.61 points to 12,907.94. Standard & Poor’s 500 index gained 0.98 percent or 13.28 points to close at 1,365.91 while the NASDAQ Composite index advanced 1.18 percent or 34.73 to settle at 2,970.42 for the day. The top jumps at Dow Jones are as under:

Alcoa Inc (NYSE:AA) jumped 2.30 percent to close at $9.11 in yesterday’s session. Its traded volume stood at 19.44 million shares while on average the stock price trades with volume figure of 27.36 million shares per day. The share price is trading at a price to earnings of 18.43 times while its dividend yield stands at 1.23 percent.

Caterpillar Inc (NYSE:CAT) surged 1.85 percent to close at $110.28 in yesterday’s session. The traded volume stood at 6.17 million shares as compared to its average traded volume figure of 7.08 million shares per day. Currently the share price is trading at price to earnings of 14.90 times while its dividend yield stands at 1.67 percent.

E I Du Pont De Nemours And Co (NYSE:DD) gained 1.69 percent to close at $51.08 with traded volume of 4.48 million shares. Its average traded volume stands at 6.03 million shares per day. The share price is currently trading at a price to earnings of 13.88 times while its dividend yield stands at 3.21 percent.
