New Applications From Amazon For Kindle Fire

Amazon announced Wednesday that thousands of applications and video games are to be available on the Android tablet ‘Kindle Fire’ from next week.

Applications – all developed under the Andriod operating system from Google – include social networks Twitter and Facebook, the service of Netflix video on demand or application Weather The Weather Channel.

Also included in the menu music service Rhapsody, Pandora Radio, the kiosk comics Comics by comiXology and video games developed by EA and Gameloft.

Amazon notes that users of ‘Kindle Fire’ will be able to download the applications using the purchase with one click technology installed on the merchant site.

Other applications such as Bloomberg (financial information), LinkedIn (professional networking) and IMDb (cinema and TV) will also be launched on the ‘Fire’ the coming week.
